Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients: macaroni, cheddar cheese, milk, butter, and seasonings.

Cooking Pasta

  • Boil salted water in a large pot, add macaroni, and cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Making Cheese Sauce

  • Melt butter in the same pot, whisk in flour to create a roux, then gradually add milk while whisking. Cook until smooth.

Adding Cheese

  • Reduce heat, stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Add optional seasonings if desired.

Combining

  • Add drained macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat.

Baking
